The Academy

The founders of Swim N Joy Sports are Mr. Gan & Mrs. Gan and a group of skillful, experienced, and dedicated coaches who have a passion for coaching. We were once located at Panasonic Sports Complex at Shah Alam, and restructured our academy to Swim N Joy Sports in the year 2011. Currently, we are located at Kelab Shah Alam Selangor.

With our vast experience in coaching, we specialize in both learn to swim programs and managing a competitive swimming team. However, now we mainly focus on the learn to swim programs. We have developed various programs to meet individual needs, making it easier for our swimmers to pick up the right and relevant skills, as well as water confidence techniques.

Our Mission

We aim to produce energetic, strong and skillful, persistent, and respected swimmers through our unique programs, constant guidance and instructions. We focus on progression, not arbitrary levels or classes. We measure mastery of skills as a sign of readiness to move forward, not just class completion. Our long term goal is to nurture swimmers to graduate as a complete swimmer with good qualities.

Swimming and water safety are essential life skills that all children and adults should learn and enjoy with practice. We believe that early experiences in our programs
can create a lifetime of fun.

Reviews

At the age of 6, Ee Mang has started from zero with Swim N Joy Sports. After two years, she has completed her learn to swim programmes. Then, Ee Mang joined the KSAS Swim Team. She was shortlisted for the Selangor Team at the age of 11. Thank you, and I highly appreciate the Swim N Joy coaches who have devoted so much of their time and effort to ensure my daughter's speedy progress and also taught her the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork.

I want my kid, Gajiniss to know more than 1 sport besides football. Luckily he is not afraid of water when we attended the first class. But I can feel that he doesn't has the passion to swim because of the fundamental lesson that he needs to go through. Thinking of letting him decide whether he wants to stop after mastering the basic swimming skills but to my surprise, he has been sharing a lot about swimming method and what he has achieved lately. Then I know that there's a passion that is growing in him. Thanks to Swim n Joy Sports for helping my kid to build his passion.

After many years with the learn to swim programs and KSAS Swim Team, my son has learned so much from experienced coaches. Not only do they focus on the right swimming techniques, they also build swimmers to be the best they can be and more. My son has excelled beyond our expectations with good coaches, swimming programs, and facilities.

My youngest boy, Jia Xian used to be fear of water. Watching his brothers swimming happily, Jia Xian also wants to play in the pool. I remember during his 1st class, realizing the pool level is actually beyond his reach, he cried so much and was finding all excuses not to swim. I'm so thankful to the passionate coaches who guidedhim through and developed the passion in him. Now my Jia Xian has the confidence to swim and even participate in swimming competitions. Thank you and keep up the good job!

From the fear of water to being able to swim confidently, Mr. Gan and his coaches are excellent and patience in guiding me. Worth to take up the lessons and swim freely.

My sons were taking swimming lessons when I decided to take up swimming myself at a ripe old age of 40. I used to be so terrified to swim at the deep end. Thanks to my patient and encouraging coach. I learnt to overcome my fear and happy to say that I slowly progressed to being able to swim laps fairly easily and completed the butterfly stroke (something I’ve always wanted to learn!).
